SteveSmith- I don't know who wrote that link- but it says it's from the 1980's.I wanted to point out some innacuracies in that link.
It's my understanding that any meds are not allowed to be imported ( sent by mail ) from another country to here.
( this pertains to the private citizen , not a big company who has applied for and received a special license to import )
Naturally, scheduled meds, like codeine, and benzos , if opened by customs, are going to get confiscated.
I believe "any" prescription-recognized meds by the DEA, are subject to seizure.
Now, does your chance of an antibiotic clearing customs rate better, as opposed to benzos ? Yes, I think so.
Does this mean antibiotics are legal for importation ? No, I don't think so.
There is a law that allows for "50 units" to be brought back over . But this applies to people actually crossing into the US physically themself. And the proper Dr.'s prescription, should be kept on you, when coming back into the country.
Perhaps others could give u some more details, and or verify/disclaim the accuracy of my beliefs.
Having said that, I feel there is a need for IOP's, and support the honest ones, who understand the tough guidelines this country has upon us citizens.
Please, if I've made a mistake in my post regarding the technical aspects of importation, correct me !
Re- Our prescription for less op- sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread, just trying to clear the importation laws up.
