Port Blair's Veer Savarkar International Airport is set to commence its first international flight to Kuala Lumpur on November 16, 2024, operated by Air Asia. This milestone aims to enhance connectivity for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, potentially boosting tourism. Since its inauguration by Prime Minister Modi, the airport has seen significant upgrades, including night operations and the installation of an Instrument Landing System (ILS).
