sorry to hear about anyone else having nightmares on whatever they are using...
with me, I know it's the remeron because they started with the very first dose, and have continued each night...I have never experienced anything like them with any other medication...
they aren't even always really "nightmares", but the dreams have an indescribable intense quality that I have NEVER felt before...very weird!!
If they continue or get more bothersome, I will have to think about changing meds once again...(sigh)
For anyone else looking for a sleeping agent that doesn't (at least for me) cause vivid dreams, I really have to suggest trying out trazodone (desyril)...
They knocked out of me and I slept through the night every time without any negative side effects except for some grogginess the next morning...
worth looking into through your doc and if you search through this forum you will find many mentions of it's attributes.
