I do feel that most of these were cases like my first DUI. I was DRUNK. I was in a clinical depression and self medicated myself. I still today thank that officer for pulling me over....THOSE are the people that kill your loved ones. Not the person I am today.
No, you are wrong. Dead wrong. Sure there are people who kill and maim others when they are falling down drunk. There are also people who kill others when they are just a bit tipsy. The percentages of accidents increase by the amount of alcohol in the blood because fuinction diminishes with the amount of alcohol in the blood. Tipsy people should NOT be on the road behind the wheel, period. You do NOT have to be stupid drunk to kill others. After all, you can be perfectly straight and cause an accident that results in the death of another human being. By drinking any amount of alcohol, you are adding to that risk in a very real way.

I don't know why I keep sharing more and more with you people when you clearly despise me and I am only giving you more ammunitioin,
Nobody despises you. We despise your behavior. Maybe there is a reason you are giving us more ammunition. Maybe you need something said that will convince you that driving with any alcohol in your system is unwise.

For the last time I am gonna say that I am not justifying what I did.
What I am saying and is not being heard, "is that at the time i did not think the amount I had to drink, combined with eating would have put me in an intoxicated state, nor would it have put me over the limit of .10 to drive.
AT THE TIME being the key words here. If that makes me stupid, then I am stupid.
Sigh...we hear you. You are not hearing us. At the time you didn't think. You are a poor judge of what it takes to raise your levels to illegal limits. You should not eb drinking and driving at all. Nothing. Not even a half a beer. Not with your history.

At this point I probably will not drink again unless I am out with my husband. Even then I may not. This whole episode has kinda made me lose my penchanct for alcohol.
There's that word again. "Probably" It just doesn't sink in.

I just wanted a break that night. I had done nothing for myself or by myself in months. My husband has been suffereing with chronic kidney stones and spends more nights than not up alone in out FROG, leaving me with the kids all day and night. Don't get me wrong, I adore them, bt I cannot even take a shower alone. One is ALWAYS by my side or in my arms.
Gee, join the club. Welcome to life. I barely have time to go to the bathroom some days. I have elderly parents who live over an hour away from me that I have to run and take care of their needs at the drop of a hat, I have a special needs child who needs constant attention, I run a business, my husband and I have not gone out to dinner alone in 5 years, blah, blah....Everyone is busy. Most people I know rarely have time for themselves. So what? That does not justify what you did. If you want to do something for yourself, get in a hot tub with a glass of wine. Go out to a bar with a friend and get plastered for all I care. Just get someone to drive you home. No problems.

Okay I am rambling. Look, the point is, I have said over and over again, I realize NOW that I was wrong. It was a bad move. I can;t do anything to undo it but be happy I did not hurt someone. That said, I was funsctioning, walking straignt, not slurring my words, etc. I wasn't falling down drunk and driving all over the road.
You WERE impaired. Makes no difference if you are falling down or slurring your words.

So quit telling me I am justifying anything. I DO take responisibility. I know I was wrong. Now I am just trying to move on and hoping to not spend time in jail. I could do the jail time, my kids w/o me would hurt them.
Huh? You continue to try and justify everything. Read your posts. Every single one of them. Personally like I said before, I hope you do spend time in jail. Seems the only way it will sink in. I feel badly for your kids, I really do. Yes, it will hurt them. But who is responsible for that? You are. And yet you keep saying you "probably" won't drink and drive again. How much do you care about them if you continue to say you "probably" won't drink and drive again. After all, according to you, it will only be one beer IF you do it again.

Listen...the fact is that I have an addiction, I have depression, I am sick and I am in treatment and getting help the best way that I know how.
I see all these posts on here from people ticked off because their refills are a day late. That's why you get 30 day suppiles. I see posts from people getting thier meds from 3 or 4 different pharmacies. Yawk and Trampy can judge me if you want,I do respect you two among a few others, those people that are constantly posting on waiting for fed ex nd UPS cannot. They have problems too. And at least ONE of these people had the nerve to respond here when in December alone you can go back an read her posts and put together that she got at LEAST 3 scripts of hydro from 3 different places.
At that number of pills, if you are driving, you are endangering lives as well.
What does people getting ticked off about refills have anything to do with this? What does a double dipper have anything to do with this? If anyone drives while impaired on anything, they are wrong. They are a danger to others as well as themselves. The fact is YOU are the one who got cuahgt not once, not twice, but three times driving while impaired. Not them. I don't know if these people drive impaired. If they do, I'd say the same things to them. Stop doing it.
This thread and the issue at hand is not even about addiction or alcholism or even the use of alcohol or drugs. That's a 'nother ball of wax. What this is about, IMO, is simple. DRIVING while under the influence.
You said we were making you out to be hopeless. You are not hopeless unless you choose to be. If you can't promise that you will not drive after consuming alcohol, then this IS hopeless. But again, it's your choice.
