All the people who order from a ton of different OP's/IOP's/email sources are in the best possible position to tell you what they're doing is wrong. They're not being holier-than-though, they speak from personal experience. Has it ever crossed your mind that some of the people so harshly judging perhaps know from their own lives and that of their loved ones, what your fate could be because they've been there or know someone who has? Maybe they have done a lot of intoxicated driving- maybe they know all too well what happens the more you do it.

Listen...the fact is that I have an addiction, I have depression, I am sick and I am in treatment and getting help the best way that I know how.
You need inpatient rehab, there isn't another option. You cannot say you are an addict and then keep drinking, however mildly. It does not work like that- addiction is a disease and the main side effect is that you allergic to your drug of choice- when you take that drug of choice, bad things happen like DWI's/binges/blackouts/withdrawal/etc. It's as simple as that, you and alcohol need to break up permanently if you want a fighting chance at beating this. It's not like you change- you will always be fighting this disease; the fight gets easier over time but it's never easy- you can't just indulge occasionally. If you could, we would have no need for expensive treatment centers.
I am glad to hear you admit to being an addict, but only if you really believe it yourself, and only you know that- not us. It makes no difference at all to us- it makes all the difference to you. You can't being recovery, no matter how much help you get, without this absolutely crucial step and a burning desire to get clean. There is no other way, all the other addicts in the world have tried it 100 times themselves, there really is no other way. If there were, I would love to tell you there is an immediate, easy way out like there is when you want to get drunk/high. Recovery isn't immediate gratification, it's a lifelong process, and yes it does suck, but for many people it's better than the alternative. I've heard a lot of addicts wish they had gotten help later on and regret the things they've done, but I've never heard one addict say (s)he regretted getting some clean time.
