First of all, consider yourself very fortunate to not have killed yourself or another. Look on Friday night as GOOD LUCK, not bad; because had you not been stopped you no doubt would have done this again. AND, had you had to stand trial for manslaughter, one of the hardest things will be to stand and face that person's family, friends and loved ones and TRY to apologize for their loss...and I didn't think I was drunk is not going to cut it. It's like pointing a gun at someone, pulling the trigger, taking their life and then saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't think the gun was loaded." If you are drinking, driving, taking narcotics and suffer from night-blindness, then, sister, your gun is very loaded and it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
Responsibility for your actions, along with remorse, are all a part of rehab and I see none of that. Your life begins today, get clean and spend QUALITY time with your family. Best wishes.
