In certain states they have a ARD program for offenders, I do not think that it will pertain to you though since you were charged with DUI before.
Also regarding the search and seizure of the contents in you vehicle.
Did the officer inform you that he was going to search you vehicle? Did he give you your miranda rights?
Did the officer have it on video tape or voice recorder? Did you sign a consent form (certain states)?
Actually, once he had the hydro without the bottle containing your name on it, he had probably cause (controlled substance)
Get a lawyer to bring up that in court regarding the search (Could be illegal S+S), you might be able to have some of the charges brought against you lowered.
Regarding the meds, just as long as you have a script that does not go back more than 1 year you should be good.
