I am not a bandwagon sort, but this is one instance where it is time to take a REALLY HONEST look at your drug and alcohol consumption. Right, wrong, or indifferent--you were busted and now it's time to pay the piper.
ALSO- It's not the best thing you can do to be posting pre-trial on this message board. Should the police find out about IOP/OP usage and check your computer for "evidence" they will also find your use of DB and use everything you have posted against you.
I REALLT DO hope you are able to come to the conclusion (even if it is court ordered) that you may need professional help for your drinking/chemical use. It MAY save your life or the life of others on the road. DUI/DWI is serious and people are getting tired of losing family members and friends to drunk or intoxicated drivers. The simple fact is this--people who take pain or anxiety meds should not drink at all--much less drive afterwards.
There are days I feel that my pain meds are making me too tired to safely get behind the wheel. And you stated in a previous post that you guessed every one of us has "had a couple drinks before driving home"...not me, never. I take my pain medications with complete responsibility and choose to NEVER drink alcohol--not even a little bit.
My final thought is that you don't seem to consider the concurrent effects of alcohol with the benzos and hydro. The next time you are online searching for possible explanations for your drunk driving, look instead for information on the concurrent use of benzos and alcohol. That is a deadly combination.
I am sorry it has taken such a harsh thing to bring this to your attention, but I sincerely hope you find the help you need. There is simply NO EXCUSE for a 2nd or 3rd DWI--PERIOD.
