Sorry that I did not see your post sooner. I had a similar experience several years back with a Far Eastern supplier of paracetamol and codeine. It made me sick. I gagged, sometimes vomited, and often had diarrhea. When I stopped taking them, the symptoms subsided. So in my case, I wasted $50 or so. For me, it wasn't the codeine, I later added (from the US) Tylenol III with no ill effects.
