Anyone who has to take hydro on a daily basis will appreciate this.
My regular GP, my GYN, and a couple of other specialists I use know I take Norco on a daily basis and RX stronger pain meds or additional Lorcet 10's when something is needed for any "additional" pain, sinus infections, procedures or surgery, etc. I am lucky that this has never been an issue for them.
I broke my leg, had to go to the weekend clinic run by the hospital, so I got whoever was on duty. Doc has seen me a couple of times, in fact moved me to a stronger drug than morphine when I was in hospital for adhesions, so I don't think to mention my high drug tolerance when he writes my script. It is for Celebrex and Lorcet. 20 Lorcet with a word that looks like plus. I think, oh well, 20 7.5 will help on top of the Norco's for awhile, I might even be able to rough it out so I dont have to ask for more.
The script gets filled, I take it home stapled in the bag. When I open the bag, it contains a bottle of 20 2.5 Hydro's.
Even if someone does not generally take 120 Norco's a month that would not help someone too much with a broken leg! I would be upset if one of my teenagers broke their leg and that was all they were given! All doctors should have to suffer some sort of pain as part of their training, maybe then they will be more realistic.
