This afternoon I went to my mailbox, (rural area) and found a notice that the mail carrier had tried to deliver a package and I wasn't home and to come to the post office to get it. Trouble is, it is a package of ultram from clickdrugstore, and I was home all day. As a matter of fact watching and listening for knocks on the door because my sister is expecting a new computer delivered from Dell. I also have two dogs who go nuts everytime there is a knock on the door or for that matter anyone on the front porch. I know he didn't try to deliver that package. Am I being set up for something? Or am I being paranoid?

I wish I could say for sure you're just being paranoid, but these days who knows.
I do know that at this time of year all bets are off as regards "normal service" from any of the carriers or the USPS. Could be that a holiday temp couldn't find your house. Or they are short staffed and just aren't "bothering" with delivery attempts when they think nobody might be home.
Is Ultram really something to worry about? Wouldn't Customs have seized it already if it was a problem?
One note of caution: When I ordered generic Soma from Click about a month ago, it arrived in this form: A white jiffy envelope, mailed from Thailand, and inside it were two zip-loc baggies each containing 30 large white unidentified pills. No product insert, no invoice identifying the meds as Soma. They could have been anything at all! (I have no idea if they send Ultram the same way.)
Sorry, this post is probably just making you more paranoid. I wish I had some useful advice!

Well I am not LE or am I a lawyer
..and I have never played on TV. But I have had westpharmacy.com VERY similar experiences. I have had the the Mail person look right at me while mowing the lawn and stick that little pink pick-up slip in the mail box. SOB. I wouldnt get too worried over Ultram it is not a scheduled drug
worst case is they take it and youre out your money.
Please anyone jump in here because I use Masters Marketing for my Trams and I know they DONT ship scheds. (Besides off topic they are cheaper, sorry Mods)
Chances are the S.O.B just did not want to get out of his truck (too busy this time of year)
Yes LE and the government are a little wacky with this op/iop thing but a major sting for Ultram
..not
..go get your Ultram Just my .02
Oh BTW I have read a couple of posts that Click sends Regestered anyway....so you have to sign for it....some one correct me if I am wrong.

I've had the same thing happen twice. Both times I went to the P.O. and picked up the packages with no problem. I even told the postal clerk that I was home all day and, like you, have a dog that alerts me to anyone approaching the door. She had no explanation. I think sometimes they just get lazy and don't want to be bothered. Good luck!

I don't know how it is where you are, but in my area we have 2 or 3 different mail carriers every week. We had a guy last week who was running from house to house, like he had a plane to catch. The person who was working your street that day was probably some temp who didn't know the area, or was so far behind in his deliveries he was just trying to get caught up. If it were mine I would go pick it up.

same thing happened to me, went and signed for them, no problems. They send registered airmail so you can't claim you didn't recieve it and do a chargeback. Go and get it!

Yes, click always requires a signature. And the ultram always comes in blister paks. I am trying to screw my courage to the sticking point and go downtown and get them. However.....paranoia is a hard thing to get rid of, especially when you know that what you are doing is illegal. And I do NOT have a poker face. I am a terrible liar, and always look guilty even when I am not. Knowing me, I will throw myself in the path of the first policeman and admit to my crime. Yes, I know, I am a weiner, whiner and wuss. *sigh*

go pick it up. It is ok. I get stuff that needs signature and my postman is my neighbor and he just signs it and puts it in my box. Now, if it is a substitute, I get a slip.

I get the card on the door and go to the PO and pick it up, I sign for it, and a 1/2 second after I am done they yell next. Click does a good job in the ananimity dept. I dont care for the non greek based lettering on it.

My husband is a supervisor at a local station...this is what happened....the postal carriers must now SCAN ALL priority, express mail...anything requiring a signature...before, if he didn't have time to attempt the delivery to your door, he would have just held it till the next day. but now they must scan an entry for every piece of mail in their case....and so, he was probably behind that day and scanned attempted not at home....to cover his a*&...i wouldn't worry about it...go to the Post office & pick it up....I wouldn't complain...cuz then your postal carrier will get in trouble & he may then be looking for a way to get even....so future deliveries could be scrutanized....it sucks...but that's what I'd do...go pick it up & don't mention it. You are probably right. I am a carrier @ I will wait outside the house & honk for a minute or two before I put a slip in the box. If the dog doesn't alert you then I figure you are not home. This one was probably just running late or lazy, as you said.
As far as signatures & scanning, It's no big deal. Have a good relationship with your carrier, then he/she will go out of their way to see that you dont get screwed, I do.

I used to have this happen all the time with all sorts of packages because the mailboxes at my apt are microscopic & anything bigger than a couple of legal sized envelopes just won't fit in. I'd be upstairs or something and the guy never even knocked on my door. I wasn't afraid to go to the post office. It was just a major pain. I finally asked my regular carrier to stick any parcels in a little cabinet we happen to have in the foyer of my apt house. He does this for me & was even nice enough to tell the substitute carrier to do the same.
Actonbell, just go & get your package! (Easy for me to say, huh?)

The pink slip is a 1394 sign the back of it or the front and go to the po to pick it up.
I work PT at a local PO.
Believe me, the Postal Inspector would be at your door if it was anything else.

Isn't it that there shouldn't be anything to be worried about given the fact that the meds are being mailed as 'discreetly packaged' and that the envelope does not bear the actual name of the pharmacy but that of a certain "person"?

Well, I didn't go yesterday, I was too busy, so today I was moping around, dramatically announcing who got what while I was in prison, and getting ready to go when my baby sister walked in, listened for a minute, then whacked me on the back of the head called me a wussy only not exactly that word and marched off to the post office herself. Her parting shot was "if I get arrested you are in so much trouble, Mom will kill you"(I am 53, she is 45, Mom is 70). Twenty minutes later she walks back in, tosses my envelope to me and leaves again to go Christmas shopping. If it had been me, I'd have called on the cel phone and announced I needed a bondsman before I drove up to the house. But then I am a MEAN coward.
Needless to say paranoia strikes again. Am I ever . I will slink off now and post how fast and good clickdrugstore is on the int'l feedback forum.

actonbell, good to hear all went well. I have been ordering from a US place for about 2 years and every time it is shipped next day, priority with signature due. My postman signs it, he is my neighbor and puts it in my box. I ordered last Wed, it was shipped priority for signatirue so I was looking for Sat. delivery. Here it is late Wed and no pkg. I have been home every day and the postman has been my neighbor. I called the post office and they said Priority Mail should only take two days but they don't promise that. I had to laugh! You pay for 2 days with Fed Ex and you get it two days. What's up with a "maybe" with the postoffice! I emailed my company and they will send again on Friday if no delivery. Their records showed no delivery or signature on my pkg. Sorta off topic from your being paranoid, but thought I'd mention this. Think it is holiday season? LOL

I agree, especially if ou live in a cold climate. I would just go pick it up.

Yup they send registered mail. I ordered temgesic from them, and the post was from Thailand. The funny thing was (had to save this envelope) the return address was my last name, my street (altered a little bit) I think to make it look like it was from a relative. Kind of clever!

Hmm....the better part of valor is discretion, or something to that effect. We ought not to go to deeply into how these things are packaged. Let's not make the DEA or Custom's jobs any easier. Or life for ourselves any harder. Thus spake Paranoid Peggy
