Come on folks, United is one of the best places out there and it is probably about your account or file, etc.
Just call them back, unless you're a double dipper and they caught you, otherwise you really have no reason to be paranoid unless you did something wrong.

Boy I am right there with ya Legitimate. At certain times of the month I might get a call from a creditor or 2...or 3 or 8, and my kids are now trained to politely say, "she is not home right now, who is calling and can I take a message." And with teenagers in the house my husband very rarely even tries to answer the phone cause 9 times out of 10 it ain't for us. But it would be my luck that I would get a call like that and HE would answer the phone ugh!

Hello,
Well I would find out if the number is Untied Prescription services first, then I would make sure that I am all paid up, refills done or not waiting..then I would call. They are a great service...There is NO reason for them to be calling you so my take is if the number is there's there could be a billing problem...Did you ever go through there OP service...or just use there pharmacy?....maybe if you used there OP they want to sell you a new one....I would not worry to much they have been around a very long time and I don't think they would start busting people on the phone...good luck to you....Boo
Ligit..your right about that but seems to me that they HAVE to have ligit..no pun.. to call...and Chevey...I had to lauph at your post...2-3-8 heheheeh..meeeto...thank god for caller ID..right!!!

This reminds me of when I placed an order for something online and before I knew it, they called me at home! I was shocked, surprised, didn't know what the heck they were calling for and it seemed I entered the wrong expiration date for my credit card (having just gotten a new one, used the old date) and they just wanted to place a courtesy call to get the right number rather than just deny my order. I thought it was nice. Don't worry until you have to

hi all,
i called them back today, and i'm not sure what to make of this.
first off let me say that i am taking this medication for documented reasons. all of my medical records are in the right hands.
the person at united said it was a courtesy call? that i had a refill for hydrocodone ready and would i like to place the order.
this sort of bothered me, first off i still have plenty from my last bottle left. i've never gotten these calls before, and he didn't use the medications name 'norco' just called it hydrocodone.
i've always been a little leary about domestic OP/consult process. it seems legitimate according to current laws, and with medical conditions and records provided to the consulting physician it seems legit.
anyhow, this call just sorta triggered my latent paranoia.
nobody has gotten courtesy calls from united before? this was the first time for me.
either i'm just being silly, or maybe they are just very good people. my local mom and pop pharms never called me before
take care

I don't think they'd refer to it as "Norco" unless you are ordering brand name meds- then it *is* Norco. If you're ordering generic Norco, then it *is* hydrocodone. Though, I refer to my hydrocodone as "Vicodin" really, it's not- it's generic Vicodin which is hydrocodone/apap. Anywho, I don't know what your order is for, but that's one possible explanation. As for them calling to tell you your refill is due- I think that's perhaps a sign that they're trying to get more business- businesses don't have time to call to get you to refill if they're not hurting for clients and a Pharmacy like Walgreens/Kaiser/Hi-School Pharmacy, et al... would NEVER call you to tell you that your refill is ready if you wanna go ahead and order that now, LOL! Sounds more like telemarketing- ewwwwww!! Just my opinion- take it with a grain of salt

Yes. A friend also received a courtesy call from United the other day. No big deal.

Do not be paranoid. I have found them to be a top-notch outfit. I got a call the other day to remind me that my prescription was ready to renew. I find it very satisfying as a customer that they take the time out (of what must be a VERY busy schedule) to assist their clients. So what if they call, they have more information on you than that, if they really wanted to be dubious. Just chalk it up as great customer service! Something very rare indeed!

I agree with you that united it a top notch pharmacy, but the "courtest calls" aren't done to "assist" customers, they're done to make sales, not that there is anything wrong with that, IMO .
The problem occurs when they are less that descrete. They should NEVER leave a message other than a first name and phone number, unless they KNOW it's OK to do so.

they did not say anything about what meds i had on file on the phone message. just that it was xxx from united services and would i call him back.
i guess i overreacted. i've had nothing but good service from united and fedexmeds. it just struck me as odd.
