The police didn't even tell the husband she was dead, he saw it on the news... called 911 and couldn't get a straight answer... they kept the baby for hours... read on....
"The Ahwatukee man, whose wife was killed by a Chandler police officer, got news of his wife's death from the media BEFORE anyone from the city talked to him. KFYI news has obtained a copy of a letter from Dawn Nelson's family to the county attorney and the city of Chandler. In it we learn John Nelson got worried last week when he didn't hear from his wife and 14 month old child october 11th. His heart sank when he saw news footage of his wife's car and a tarp covering the body of a woman. Despite calling 911, The Maricopa County Medical Center, and the Chandler Police Department...he couldn't get a straight answer on whether his wife was dead or alive. John Nelson then looked out his window, and saw TV trucks gathered in his front yard. The job fell to reporters to tell him his wife was dead. Around 7:15pm, a police officer showed up on John Nelson's doorstep with the couple's child ...three hours after the shooting."
That was here.
Please go to that page and click the link at the bottom of what I copied and pasted.
There you will find a letter written by the husband about how he found out his wife was dead, and how he got his baby back from the police... all of this with reporters in his yard.
THINK TWICE before reading if you are very sensitive today, it was very upsetting.
