I wondered about this myself. I just feel this is one of those issues where they could have let her go on and followed her. It's one thing when a person is in the store and not in a car, but I think that common sense dictates that if a person getting a forged script and is in the drive-through, it is a good chance they will try and leave the scene. They had her name at the drugstore, I'm sure she could have been found. If she had been in the pharmacy stealing drugs with a weapon, then I can understand a gun being drawn. The unedited tape needs to be looked at by others beside the Police Dept.
The woman was wrong, there is no doubt about that, but I don't understand how the Officer was in danger of being run over by her car yet he was able to shoot her in the chest through the open window and not through the windshield.
