My GOD this story seems to real to be true. I have followed it for a long time. At first I thought "Ok, a car is a lethal weapon and cops have had to shoot people before in similar situations". But then the story sloooowly took shape. And when I found out how many other people had been shot by the cops there I was stunned. It is not only a horrible crime it is also ashame-because I know a few police officers, all decent people. They and I know this will lead to an even worse reputation for cops in general. But this place sounds like some eastern European country going through a "cleansing" process.
I do have to say that despite the tragedy I laughed aloud when I read this quote "The group said it is "enraged" that Lovelace was publicly arrested and booked rather than being allowed to turn himself in." Enraged indeed-if Lovelace had killed my wife then I just might....well use your imagination.
Thanks for the links Morgan.
