I was thinking the same thing, that this woman probably had a rush of adrenaline - out of fear. The same can be said of the police officer. Even though police officers have been trained for many circumstances, these kind of events do not happen to a police officer every day. If he saw a car coming at him, it probably caused an adrenaline rush for him. I would be scared too if a car was coming at me. I don't know if we will ever know all the facts. But the fact for me that is so sad is the law itself. That's what led to all of this. When somebody broke into my home and stole over 2000$ worth of stuff, the police did not rush over to my house. I waited for 4-5 hours for them to come and take a report. How did they know the thief was not still in my house? But a forged/phoney script over some Somas? That needs IMMEDIATE action. I know you will say that they had to catch the person in the act, and I suppose it is true, but is the drug laws themselves which have me fuming......rant,rant....ditto
