Not knowing all the details, I can only imagine what happened. Dawn's doctor probably would not give her anything for relief and she was probably desperate. I think I read that she phoned in the rx. When she got to Walgreens, she was probably scared to death and running on adrenaline. She may have sensed a problem (the pharmacists were probably talking and taking too long). She got really nervous and was trying to decide whether or not to just leave or wait. When she saw the cop, she most likely just "lost it" and tried to get away. I believe she accidentally hit him in her frenzy, but I don't think she had any intention to hurt him. She was just trying to flee the scene. I think everybody involved just over reacted, and it ended tragically.
