If a criminal suspect attempts to run you over using an automobile as a weapon the officer is justified in his use of his weapon in self defense. This is a classic textbook example of an officer defending himself, mark my words he will be cleared and in this case I am sure a Grand Jury will hear all the evidence and find his actions in line with the approcriate use of deadly force. I would also bet that the officer had no malice towards the suspect and this was a reaction based on his prior training. All things considered this is a tragedy. I wonder if it was a BHP script?
