My dentist who is 63, said that when he was undergoing cancer treatments, he was forced to take on a young dentist for about a year. In talking with other older dentists, they conclude that they are horrified with the quality of students coming out of dental school today. I like this dentist as a person, but I stay away from him because I am still terrified of all dentists after SEVERAL unbelievably terrifying experiences. I will never get over it.

Two year later, that dentist is still hearing complaints from his patients who said the replacement was rude, cursed, hurt them, treated them like scum, etc.

I guarantee you that dentists are in it for the money and nothing else. From what you described - they are definitely not in it for the fun. And, no insult intended, but Southern California is not your typical dental office.
