Ok, Ive got a stupid question about OxyContin. I know this is a time release medication and it must not be crushed or chewed. BTW, I dont take it Im just a little curious about how it works. Say I have an OC 10mg. If it's swallowed whole is it the equivelent of a continous 10mg release of the drug? Let me ask from another angle, if it were chewed, would that be equal to chewing a 10mg percocet without the APAP or is an OC 10mg actually more mgs of oxycodone in which a 10 mg dose is released over the course of the day. My question makes no sense, hopefully someone out in DB land will be able understand what Im trying to ask. Thanks to all for the help.
