Flea,
If I remember correctly Fenfluramine was banned in the U.S., cuz after long-term usage there's been a causal relationship betwwen PPH (Primary Pulmonary Hypertension) and also Vavular damage to the heart. I wouldn't take it, even if it was the "REEL" thing. Both these conditions are irreversible and totally "incompacitating". I don't know, even if you wanna take a chance, you have to "REELLY" watch chinese medicines, some of them contain "Mercury" in small amounts of course. But I wouldn't mess with them. I had a friend who went to "China Town" here in New York and brought something called "Tiger Bone Drink", he said when he drank a shot of thing it made feel warm all over and kind of energized (It's suppose to contain pulverized tiger bone), well actually the drink had herbals but also contained small amounts of "Mercury", which explain the rise in body temperature. You might want to try a different diet med, one that has a long-term proven record, like "phentermine hydrochloride" (Fastin) or "Benzphetamine" or (Didrex), both of these appetite suppressants have been used for a long time, and they both have short-term side-effects (which are consistent with these type of meds), but there hasn't been any reports of long-term problems associated with them when they are used as directed. Of course, there always the possibility of addiction with these meds. I guess that's just a chance you'll have to take. Good Luck on your decision!!.
