Freaking out-got my first 6 page custom letter-what do I do respond that I don't want it or ignore it?
Also, they have a line about civil penalties-do they fine you?Do I try to get my order again or take the loss?

Since no one else has responded I will just jump in. I have never received one myslef but I have read many many times on this board and many others that the best thing to do is to let the IOP know you received it and see if they will resend your order. I understand most will. I have read that you should definately not respond to the letter. Just consider it a warning.

You can try searching this forum for Customs or Love Letter. I think that's what some refer to them as. If you search you will find a lot of info on them as they are quite prevelant.

Maybe someone else will respond as well. Maybe if you post this under the thread for the IOP you used, you will get better info.

Best of Luck.

This happened to me once. However, I opted to use a friend's address who is of Pakistani descent for the re-shipment. I read the letter and tossed it. The second shipment went through without a hitch. My friend had a chuckle about this incident, since the meds came from India and had my name on it. He said, do you really think that someone in rural India is going to send "Mr. John Poindexter - Apt 123" (Not my name of course) a package for some reason? It's always a risk when ordering from IOP's. There are some threads about this here on DB. Hopefully they will help you in your decision.

I received two seizure notifications in a 7 day period. I wasn't too disturbed by the first one...I read through it, having never gotten one before...then tossed it. BUT, the second one was a different story...

Six days after this incident, the mailwoman knocked on my door and said she had a certified letter for me to sign. I wracked my brain, trying to think of who would be sending me certified mail. Then I glanced over at the letter on her clipboard...and my heart shot up into my throat. I recognized the return address immediately. It scared me to death...I thought there was a special significance attached to the signature requirement. Then I was afraid that I had made some kind of admission of guilt by signing.

Eventually, I was told by another member that actually, all seizure notices were supposed to be sent certified, but there were just too many and not enough time to do even a fraction of them.

There's no need to worry. Ignore the letter. But don't throw it out until you've contacted the IOP that sent the seized meds. If they have a replacement policy, they'll want a copy of the letter.

I received a customs letter about a year ago, the first time I had ever tried an IOP.

I figured for roughly $50 worth of Xanax, I would toss it in the trashcan and write it off, and thats just what I did.

Nothing came of it, and that is my understanding of the usual outcome of the letters when they are ignored - nothing.

Exactly like Imago said, just shrug and write it off as a life experience - and yeah I hadn't even thought of that, but if it is a reputable IOP, they typically have some sort of policy about resending if you can provide a customs letter, so thats worth considering too.

Either way don't worry about it.

I have learned that if you ignore it you get at least two more letters over the next few months updating you that they are about to destroy and have destroyed, in legal sounding terms. You have the option to contest, which as said sounds like a bad idea. You also have the option to sign that it is okay to destroy the merchandize right away and send that page back to them, and if you do that THEN you will never get another letter. p

If someone has gotten one of these 6 page letters, it seems like the first one is a warning but what if a second order gets seized?

Assuming both orders are very tiny (10 day supply of a simple pain killer, not oxcy or hydro).... will you just get another lover letter or will more come of it on the second seizer?
