Flaming/Flame Wars
Flaming is reacting to someone's board posting or PM in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or bombarding the person with nasty posts or PM's. Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. If you notice a flame war developing just notify the moderator or adminitrator and let them handle it. Do not take part in flame wars. If you do you will be banned even if you did not start it :-)
Each Euro costs $1.1423 + whatever your bank or money exchanger tacks onto the cost, usually about 1 1/2%, if you buy in quantity like 5,000 Euros. So Friday one Euro would cost a minimum of $1.16.
You mentioned the bank you called offered to give you $1.02 for each Euro. It doesn't mean that you would pay $1.02 per Euro - it means you would only receive $1.02 for each Euro you sell instead of the official rate of $1.14.
In my experience airports and hotels are the worst places to exchange money.
I made it very clear to the agent with whom I spoke that I wanted to buy euros .
