I had never heard of this treatment for migraines, and what I read seemed to me that it was still experimental. If it helps, why don't doctors try this more often with their patients? It would seem that it would be safer than even Zomig or Imitrex, or even used in combination with these other treatments.

I've suffered from migraines since I was about 12 years old (I'm 49 now), and have tried everything that has been given to me, including biofeedback and acupuncture with little or no help. When I'm in a crisis, I'm even too sick to go to the ER and I ususally suffer at home, in the dark, with a cold rag to my head, inhaling imitrex and vomiting. I've had countless MRI's, EEG's, CAT's, and the numerous other ABC's of tests for these headaches. I'll have to ask my doctor about this one.
