What a power-tripping, judgemental, rude, unethical, unprofessional pharmacist! Bastard. I hate this kind of thing, and I'm sorry it happened to you. You didn't deserve it, and even if you did, he had no right to make pronouncements and embarrass and humilate you in any case. HE was the one in the wrong -- not YOU. You don't know me, but similar things have happened to me, and I can relate and empathize. I have usually just gotten the disdainful "stink-eye" semi-sneer, sometimes worse (even though I'm over middle-aged, am reasonably well-groomed and dressed). I am grateful that my pain, while sometimes severe, is intermittent, and that I don't have to take narcotics daily. My heart goes out to anyone who needs to. But if they do, there should not be such a stigma attached to it. Ridiculous and rotten. He or she should not have to put up with such insulting behavior. Don't tolerate it.
