Very sorry about your Dad. The reason he didn't get the Brompton's Cocktail is simple: because he was in the United States. The B.C. was invented at Brompton's Hospital in Great Britain and consisted of a mixture of Heroin, Cocaine, Alcohol, Chloroform and sugar water. Sometimes Morphine is substituted for Heroin and the Chloroform is omitted.
There is no commercially available mixture of this kind available in the U.S. and very few (if any) doctors would be willing to mix one up. It's being used quite commonly around the world for intractable pain in dying patients. Unfortunately, we in the U.S. live in the stone age when it comes to pain treatment. May the heads of the DEA ROT IN HELL!!!!!
