Has anyone tried alternative measures for pain control? Nontypical I mean. Buprenorphine comes to mind! In my 1995 PDR, Buprenex (buprenorphine) was used in 0.3 mg doses IV for postoperative pain. The PDR stated 0.3 mg bupe was equal in respiratory depression caused by morphine 10 mg.

When I was taking higher doses of Suboxone (bupe + naloxone) I had really quite good pain relief of my body pain from fibromyalgia. However, the low dose works for my addiction symptoms, I do want to be on higher to deal with my pain.

Any comments?
