I have been taking Norco 10's for a while and my last consultation w/ my Dr. we decided to try Vicoprofen due in part to no evil apap, and the Anti-Infamatory may help as well, and the Dr. may have also like the lower Hydro content...
It is a generic and the first time I have taken it, the markings on the Pill is round and white pills with 5161 on one side and the other blank...From what I know this is made by Teva Pharmaceuticals and is beleived to be the first generic on the market for this drug; though their may now be others.
My question/problem is when taken it is very different from the Norco and all the Hydro for that matter that I have been on in the past. I get a very sick feeling, not the typical nausea feeling from a Hydro med, and what is strange is it did very little if anything for my pain even after taking a couple! I bit later I took one of the couple remaining Norco's, which always seemed to work great, though last night a few hours after taking the Vicoprofens they seemed to gave me a "weird feeling" as well?? This morning my Norco (which sadly I am now down to one and a half!) had the same effect and not as effective, almost as if the Vicoprofen has altered my bodies reaction to the medications?? I know this can't be the case; but.... I wonder whether I shoud continue to take the medication and see if my body get used to it as I need something today and my Dr. aint available for consult and is on vcantion for a few dyas next week!!:( Hopefully somebody has a relevant experience to share...
Has anybody else taken Vicoprofens? If so with what success? I have a refill on it, but I am afraud to take anymore and would rather have any hydro type but this now...Is it possible that my body just may need to adjust or maybe one of the inactive ingredients is causing problems as i have taken hydro and I have taken Ibuprofin many times before, so it must be: a crappy generic, or something. Maybe I should ask for Brand Name at next refill, albeit more expensive it may be worth it.
Any help or experiences appreciated.
