I agree with you, in fact I read almost every post you make - we seem to agree on a lot!! So, thank you for saying things that I would like to but sometimes lack the right words!!!
As far as health insurance - something has to be done to lower cost - not just insurance but doc fees and meds and test. I mean $2,000.00 for an MRI? That is ridiculous!!! I don't know what the solution is, but would love the politicians, mainly local, to get on the ball and pay attention to how much stuff like this is. If they actually had to pay it themselves something would be done.
As far as dental insurance - there needs to be a major overhaul in that area. The dental insurance carriers base their "allowable fees" on prices from 30 years ago. When having a cavity filled only cost 40ish. Now having a simple cavity filled can cost anywhere from 98.00 to 150.00. So, when a person hears their share is only 20% they think oh great, but that 20% is based on a fee of $48.00 not the actual price. The insurance pays 48.00 you pay rest.... Can you say RIPP-OFF????
I have three kids and all dental related situations are gonna cost me out the ***, and that isn't including braces!!!! So, what are we to do?
