No doubt you are correct. Look at me i am what you would call middle class. My insurance was free for me and about 90$ for my spouse. That I think was about 4 years ago. Now for me it is about 301$ and it could be 689$ if I had not retired from that job over 12 years ago. It is 689$ for my spouse. This is a PPO. So my spouse has to take this crappy
HMO at work for 168$. Thats an extra 300$ out of our pocket. And so We have 300$ less spending power. Everyone always talks about tax breaks to stimulate economy well how about a medical insurance decrease to stimulate economy. So now as a family we are paying 391$ and spouses coverage is a terrible HMO.Trust me I saw were it would have been 788$.(this case would have been true if I had left that job 2 years latter. Also I went threw at least 250 thousand dollars worth of medical bills. First off this is outrageous these hospitals know the scam of ripping off the insurance company or are they working together.(I dont trust any agency anymore). Ok today is today and we have to suck it up but what will happen in 4 more years? Will our costs be 301 or 501 or 601 or 801$. How can I plan a future with no idea how much medical insurance will be? The point being we as a country and as a people we need to draw a line and say no more. i would like to here more truthful stories in these posts about insurance especially with dollar amounts attached. I mean I cant be the most unlucky person out there in fact I beleive that I am luckier than most. Please everyone no exagirations this is very important to us all. Exagirations just muck up data.
