There sure have been some interesting cases in the Florida judicial system regarding drug violations during the past two years.

Lesson #1: what I've learned from the Paley story is that it appears that in order to get adequate pain relief, one has to do 25 years jail time for a bogus drug trafficking sentence.
Interesting that Florida's Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter did a whole lot less time for her "problems". When she tried to pick up Xanax at a pharmacy with a bad prescription back in January 2002, Noelle was sentenced to a treatment center. While there, a crack cocaine rock was found in her shoe and she got 10 days in jail.

This was the second time (Judge) Whitehead has sent Ms. Bush to jail for violating terms of her treatment. She spent three days in jail in July (2002) after she was found with a bag of prescription drugs taken from a medicine cabinet in a nurse's office.
Lesson #2: Noelle's story just proves, once again, that if you are:
1. extremely well-connected
2. an entertainment or sports star (or)
3. exceptionally wealthy (or a combination of any of the above)
The judicial system will be very, very, understanding. Otherwise, you'll probably be doing substantial time for your transgressions, regardless of your physical afflictions.
