Hey Mike. I use prednesone from time to time. I have degenerative bone spurring and inflamation and it really aches and hurts pretty much nonstop. I take pain meds and it helps but when I get to where I want to just lose it, I take 40 mg prednesone a day for about 4 days and I have no pain at all. It is wonderful. But, a nasty med taken long term so only do it when I have had it.
My meds are extrememly inexpensive. My dog has been on them for years and my doctor told me to take my dog's cause it is exactly the same (and it is EXACT) and I can fill the dog's anytime. It's like a bottle for $8.39. LOL Anyway, just saw the thread and had to pipe in and share my "source" along with everyone else.
