It seems to definately be an OP thing since I have heard nothing about "real world" doctors, pharmacies or insurance companies making you wait 90 days to get or re-fill a new prescription for pain meds.
In my opinion, the 90 day wait policy is a result of a handfull of on-line doctors (and perhaps the OPs they are affiliated with) covering their butts so they don't look like they are handing meds out so often if they are expecting to get investigated in the near future.
In the real world, people are in pain and need to take more than 1 pill a day for 90 days (which was a norco prescription I got recently online). Real world doctors, pharmacies and insurance companies know this and are not heading toward a 90 day waiting period for pain medication to my knowledge (and based on common sense).
Regarding OPs, does anyone else know who is responsible for certain OPs requiring a 90 day wait between orders for narcotic pain relievers? Is it the Doctor writing the script or the OP or the pharmacy?
In whichever case, why would you guess they are doing it? (e.g. is there a law pending, are they covering their butts in anticipation of pending investigations of OPs and their doctors, etc.)??
