Xanax, my understanding from reading everything I can find out on this new rule is that it is the Pharmacy's decision, especially Clinical Solutions since they fill for so many of these places. The docs at the OPs still write the scripts for "take one every 4-6 hours" or something similar, but obviously you can't do that if you have to make 90 pills last 90 days. It's possible the pharmacies are nervous since they always seem to be the first to get busted when something goes down with one of these OP's. I'd think this would cut into their business greatly, but then again, some of them seem to fill scripts for about 15 different OPs at once, and it might be better to be slightly less busy than shut down. I certainly could be wrong, but this seems like some arbitrary rule made up by the pharmacies who fill for certain OPs to minimize their risk since as has already been discussed, no local pharmacy expects you to wait 90 days between refills.
