Help me! I am so confused right now. What is the difference between dextropropoxyphene and propoxyphene?? Is it all the same? Is it the same as good ole fashioned darvocet?
Thanks.
OKEY

Hey OkeyDokey1,

As far as I can tell from my Drug Handbook, Darvocet is acetaminophen and propoxyphene napsylate. Darvon-N is dextropropoxyphene and regular ol' Darvon is propoxyphene napsylate.

The difference between the two is that Darvocet has acetaminophen added, and Darvon also contains aspirin and caffeine.

I hope this helps a bit...

Hugs,

Skylark
