They removed the story from their website ... no explanation. All I think they accomplished by this story was to inform "drug seekers" (their words, not mine) how to get their meds on-line. Of course this reporter has probably never suffered from chronic pain .... Basically the reporter ordered from BuyMeds and received hydro without a phone call, etc.

I would say that this medical harassement and our patient bill of rights, our human/civil rights are truly being violated by a country that was founded on liberty-freedom.
LaLa,

I couldn't of said it better myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I second that. This country scares me more and more everyday. With the Patriot Act, the DMCA, and who knows what other agendas the government has. It's time for the ACLU to kick it into high gear.
Some of us accept blindly the actions of our government and forget this is the self same government that once upheld slavery and segregation. Have we made progress? I'd like to think so, but as of late, I see a very slippery slope.

I've been on this board for over two years now, and there really have been quite a few 'stories' on Online Physicians over this period of time. And there are always times where we thought that it was the end of the road for OP's.
It seems to me, that since I've been here that instead of less choices in regard to OP's, there are now more. It's supply/demand and a money making business for these companies. If there is demand, there will be supply. And I believe (truly) that bad press will fade quickly. It's a story making headline for a bit, then a more important issue comes up, and new OP's start popping up again.
Unfortunately, those of us suffering from chronic pain don't have doctors who will prescribe the medicine needed by us to function normally. I believe that the Feds are much more interested in those who actually sell than those who buy for their medical problems. Yes, there have been several OP's go under because of problems related to not following the 'gray area' of the law (??), but those that require records and those of us who fill out the forms, send in our MR's will most likely for some time to come have a choice when it comes to OP's. This is just my opinion, from what I've seen during these past years I've been a chronic pain patient, and reading these boards.

While the staff is talking about drug seekers, I wonder what they did with the meds they ordered? I couldn't read the article or watch the clip, but I am dying to know if a "legitimate" pain patient ordered these meds. OF course not!! They just went and ordered meds because they could. You know, if anyone is responsible for the downfall of OP's, it will get the greedy OP's themselvles. While there are many compaines that require medical records and a consult with the doctor, there are some that don't. These companies attract the "drug-seekers" and are going to draw all the heat. They might ruin it for the rest of them. While OP's are common knowledge, they still remain pretty underground. They don't really have traditional advertising methods like TV or magazine ads. They still operate in relativly quiet exsistence, but as more and more stories are being broadcast, they will gain notariety. Which is too bad because some moron always ruins it for the rest of us. Id hate to see the Op's go down like Oxycontin did.

Being that I subscribe to a very popular tabloid for the sole purpose of doing the crossword puzzle (The American Enquirer or something like that ), I found it most interesting that several OPs are advertising now. The OPs advertising in the latest issue are pickupviagra.com, order-rx.com, emedsexpress.com, order2.com, and peacerx.com. PeaceRx.com offers Fioricet, Soma, Tramadol, and Ambien, to name a few. Following the names of several popular meds listed in the ad, it states "...and many, many more!"
My mind started drifting when I was reading these ads while I was doing my "crossword puzzle." I imagined Netpain and YourOnlineDoctor commercials during General Hospital ...

I like your style. I do not know you, but your messages seem to pop up, which are always interesting.
You meationed Netpain was that a good thing? I had a good experience with them. What are your thoughts? Have you used them before?
Anyway, I just came across the "cross word puzzle", not really.
I think some OPs have class, netpain being one.
Anyway, thanks for all your feedback.
