Are there any OP's that require a certain package to be signed for by the actual recipient and *only* the recipient? I never really noticed either way, as I've never had to have anyone sign for it.
I am considering going to Mail Boxes Etc. (or what is now the UPS store) and renting a box there. You get 24 hr access, and this way I don't have to be sitting by the door anxiously awaiting the Fedex guy.
Will it be a problem? Anyone know of any OP's where you do or don't have to be the actual recipient to sign for it?

I know I have read a few sites that insist upon it, probably so some one can't say they never got the package. I hate the wait too, but I have to ask myself, do I know anyone at a UPS store well enough not to worry about their messing with my package, then saying it must have been that way already...not saying this against UPS people, just anyone staring at heaps of packages all day...

Hmmm... from what I read (I placed my order through eRX) you had to have a person over the age of 21 there to sign for it. I had my boyfriend at home waiting for my package to arrive because I was working. Having it delivered via UPS seems to be the key- they shouldn't know what's being sent nor should they be able to say only the person there can sign for it since their standard protocol is to have 'a person over the age of 21' there to sign. Just how I took it

The USPS regulations for Private Mail Boxes say that in order to receive mail at a PMB, ALL the potential addressees have to fill out a form and show ID and proof of street address or location. Those federal regulations are only for mail and they don't apply to UPS/FedEx, etc.
Also, some places are more picky than others, but federal law says that they're supposed to return to sender any mail addressed to a name that's not listed for that box.
Finally, USPS offers an extra paid service called Restricted Delivery where they're supposed to check the recipient's ID and only deliver to the person it's addressed to. Restricted Delivery would be in effect whether it's going to a residence or a PMB--the PMB agent is supposed to hold on to it and have you come to the counter and show ID to pick it up. FedEx (i think) offers a similar service.

I have used YOD, NWW, and Meds123. I have never actually seen the UPS or FedEx guy. My spouse always signs, and they have no problem with that. Hope that helps.

I think it's a standard service with UPS and fedex. They only require AN adult signature. I've also bough ammunition and knives that were delivered UPS and required someone over 21 (ANYONE) to sign.

My Fedex guy will actually allow my 16 year old son sign for my packages. I've never had a problem.
