That's absolutely NONE of his business. But it might be wise to remember him at Christmas! Tell him - if he asks again - that you buy and sell on Ebay. I DO buy and sell on Ebay and get many packages and my poor carrier is very nice about it and never says a word. There's a foreign expression "Offen gonif, brentis hittel." And it means " on the thief, burns a hat," and that means if you have a guilty conscience, your hat (head) will burn/light up! And its so true, if you had ordered mags from Thailand you wouldn't worry at all.

i do a lot of international business on eBay too, which gives me 'protective coloration'. It never hurts to remember your letter carrier at the holidays. I've read that it's quasi-illegal to tip a mail carrier with cash, but cookies, etc., are fine.

I work as a mail carrier. Trust me, your mailman couldn't care less what you get in the mail. I have 556 people on my route. If I had time (which I don't) to mull over every single package everyone gets, I'd never get anything done. I deliver between 50-100 pkgs a day.
Mail carriers are not supposed to notice nor tell to anyone what you recieve in the mail. If they mention it to you, it's likely they're just trying to make conversation and be nice, not nosey.
We don't "tattle" on people, tell the "feds" or any other such nonsense I see on here from time to time. Postal inspectors have much bigger fish to fry than someone buying a few hundred pills off the internet. In fact, in all my years at the Postal Service, I've never even seen a Postal Inspector.
Once, in a small town I worked at, a man and his mother (yes, I said his MOTHER!!) were mailing home grown pot in boxes big enough to hold a tv. How did we know? Even we have a sense of smell. It was brought to the attention of the Postal Inspectors by telephone by a postmaster. Their answer was, "If it's not ticking, don't call us."
Seriously, relax. NO one cares.

I can tell you for a fact that some postal employees DO take notice of what people recieve in the mail, and DO report it to the authorities. I have a good friend who works for a government organization who I asked to check my name out of curiosity. It seems my bitch of a mailwoman filed a SAR (suspicious activity report) on me with the feds because there were packages arriving at my house in someone elses name. There are no doubt some very cool postal employees out there who probably don't care what goes through the mail, but there are also some who will put a permanent flag on your record with the feds for anything unusual.

Hmmm,
I had my first experience with a nosey postman yesterday...
He went to get my package because it needed to be signed for..
He was caressing it and cooing about "from Spain?"
The post man next to him shot me a look like I just killed my mother and scowled...
The guy waiting on me asked if I had ever been there?
I said "No, I ordered something from Ebay for a nephew... I did have a chance to go to Spain in high school but Mom wouldnt let me go."
He said condescendingly "well you're a big girl now, you can go on your own."
This irked me a little. I came back with "well, I would rather support the tourism in the USA.. You know see more of this country first..."
What the dang????
I'm glad I'm changing post offices soon....Poco

My postman drops a Christmas card in my box every year, and i give him $10. or $15. bucs. He signs my registered mail, and saves me time etc. The last FedEx guy said "I'd leave the f'n package at your door, but there's medication in it so you to sign for it. It's not like it's "crack" or something". I said "no, but it's close"...LOL HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

4Now I am with you. I like the ignorant.
I like my mailman because he does not CARE.
Nor my UPS, or FED EX people care.
A tip at christmas does not hurt.

FedEx used a private courier to finally get me my previously lost meds late last night. The courier just dropped the package outside my door, no signature or anything.

Cindy, I'm sure he wouldn't use foul language in your presence. It's a guy to guy thing, and he arrived very late in the day. These drivers are working their butts-off this time of the year! Take care...

My UPS came in a UHAUL rental truck yesterday. I watched them from the window. He ran from the truck and placed the package on my porch. Then ran back! I would say they are busy.

If you are cool with a driver using saying f***, then no problem. I would think that fed ex or ups guys would be a little more professional, that is all I was saying. I personally would be pissed if that statement was made to me by a driver.

I'm afraid you or your friend is mistaken or misinformed sam as we postal workers don't use SAR's. In fact, the Postal Service doesn't even print an SAR. There is no such thing as a permanent flag. We are not allowed, as part of our job to "notice" what ANYONE gets in the mail much less report it to anyone. We ARE allowed to notice what get's mailed (such as very suspicious boxes) but NOT what gets received. We can get fired for divulging ANY information about your mail to anyone.
Hundreds of thousands of people get their prescriptions filled by online pharmacies. It's not an unusual occurrence for us to deliver prescriptions. Some peoples insurance will pay ONLY if they use a mail order prescription company.
Those christmas cookies were yummy! Thanks all.

Since I try to become friends with nearly everyone("HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE") I have always cozied up to delivery people. Eventually working around to "don't you find it a pain in the neck to have people sign?"
I reached a point with UPS/USPS/FEDEX/ where they just hand me MOST packages that should be signed. They already scribbled something for me.

I got a funny look last month from the UPS driver when I got my meds. I wonder if the DEA has asked them to start watching for packages from OP's?

I wouldn't get to paranoid. Many of the carriers routinely check for illegal drugs at the terminals. But they are usually looking for the kind of stuff dogs can smell. UPS, FedX and most of the private carriers have the right to inspect any package without a warrant. There is an old law enforcement trick where the envelope is sprayed with a non residue type cleaner it makes the viewing the inside of the package even reading a letter if it is not folded easy. When the cleaner "alcohol" based evaporates you would never know. Boxes are another story.
Take care. Billylll

My mail carrier is WAY WAY cool with me... he knows I get meds from overseas... I leave him cold beers in the mailbox on hot days ... sometimes he has a beer and shoots some pool with me as a quick break ... he is by far the coolest and it pays to have him on my side!!

The reason that happens dr13 is because after mail is delivered to your post office, later in the day, sometimes extra bags of priority and express mail come in. They then send a person around to the various carriers with these packages so they can deliver them. Since your mailman had already passed your house, he came back. He could wait till the next day (for priority but not express) but he's being a nice guy and doubling back....
