Im pretty sure I wouldent be able to get the meds online but direct from manufacturer??? anyone have any knowledge about all this? Or any info/links to the programs themselves?
Any info would greatly be appreciated

Try the site www.needymeds.com they list all the drugs available on the programs and what the guidelines are for each drug. Simply print the form or have your dr start the process. It is a great site!!

Forgotmyname,
I think I listed these in the DB LINKS page, but here they are:
McMan Web Free Meds
Mixed Nuts Free Med Program
The Medicine Program
Loren Bennett Org
Good luck, you should qualify for many of these programs. Some charge a $5 co-pay for each med application. I had a few more but I checked them first and their links no longer work. NeedyMeds is a popular program,as listed above.

My mother-in-law is under several of these programs and she only has to pay for one med. Your doctor should be able to steer you in the right direction. The only downside to the program is it depends on what med your on and who manufactures it. Not all drug companies participate in the program. My mom in law's doc switched her to the same type of meds, just made by a different company and that qualified her for the program. Her doctor signs off on some form that she fills out every 90 days and sends it off to the drug companies. She gets a minimum of 90 days supply at a time up to 6 months worth depending on the meds.
It's a good program once you get thur filling out all the paperwork.
Good Luck!

Sally: Thank You so much for that link! I have tried to find anyplace for my son to get his meds. Lilly, who makes his adderall, does not have a program. He has been without for about 5 months now, and boy does he need it. He just started a new job, if this goes through, it would impact his life like you would never imagine. Thank you so much. This is the stuff that you find here that just isn't out there for anyone else. I thank God everyday for the kind and understanding people here. Have a great day! Jersigrl

Thanks so much everyone. I knew the programs existed cuz my sister had some of my dads meds swapped over and his RX bill went from like $600 to $100 per month and he is on SS. He was so dag gummed happy and he loves that he recieves months and months at a time too.
Im going to talk to my doctor tomorrow. I have to see my GP. Were gonna try the Medicare/Pain Clinic/meds program route and hopefully it will work. Man I would be in heaven. My posts would be go from griping about ROP's and NROP's to,
"Well just got my free 3 month supply of meds today" OMG that would be so great. And yall wouldent have to hear me gripe anymore. I know some of you just thrust your arm in the air and said YES! but remember were just at the first stages of the process but I read the needy meds site last night and its geared for people like me. Disabled, sick and broke.
Have a wonderful day and I hope its a pain free one too. I know mine aint. Killer migrane 1st thing this am. But better now

You are welcome I hope it works for for anyone trying to get the meds they need. I have found needmeds to be a great site because it lists all the medications that are available on these programs all in one site. I had a friend that was getting 100mcq Duragesic patches and could no way afford them at $600 per month for 10 patches. She printed the form and filled out her part, took it to the dr and he filled out his and within 3 days of faxing it to Jensen Pharmacutical Company she was able to pick up her patches at the pharmacy at no cost. Some of the programs take longer than the 3 days but none the less, a great site!
Good Luck to you!
