Pharmatico Update
      #168607 - 06/14/04 07:51 AM Attachment (1 downloads)

I've been getting emails from Pharmatico as I was on their mailing list, I haven't ordered from them in over a year due to the fact they weren't delivering. So I decided to write them about how I felt about it: (sent this on May 18th)

Pharmatico,

Maybe someone from your company can sign as a member on drugbuyers.com and explain to everybody there why their orders never come, why the repayment of such credits never come, It seems to me your shipping people have very sticky fingers and are stealing people's orders before they even get shipping, or maybe it's an internal problem, either way this poor service has resulted in getting your company Blacklisted throughout many message boards & support groups. As these such places can generate thousands of orders if you could ever straighten out you theft problems. I was a faithful customer for 3 years or better and personally I will not do business with your company again until I'm assured your theft and lack of support problems are ever corrected. I do thank you for the excellent service you have provided in the past, but like I said after loosing hundreds of dollars from your people stealing the medications and never receiving any seizure notices. (which tells me your people are at fault) I can't afford to take a chance anymore.I highly doubt this email will be answered or even read, but incase it does and you can give some kid of explanation as to your problems it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Bob

Well Low & Behold I received this email this morning from Pharmatico: (6-14)
Dear Bob,

We did have some problems with our shipping early this year, but the problem has been resolved. We found out that one of our shipping points did not function as supposed to. We shut down the shipping point, and the people affected by the problems caused by the shipping point have been contacted and taken care of.

As you most likely know, we do not guarantee delivery (this is stated in our Disclaimer) as our most popular products are not on the FDA approved list, or a prescription is needed to import them into the USA. Thus, if inspected, the order is lost. Also, customs in the US does not always send out notifications in order to combat online pharmacies.

As you may also know, we did have a problem with one of the largest message boards (drugbuyers.com) a while back when they posted lies and made up information about our service, saying that we had lost our merchant accounts due to non deliveries amongst other things. Thus, we removed the 10% discount that DrugBuyers members used to get from us, and posted a letter on the DrugBuyers website (which was removed promptly) and also posted the letter on our website.

We do not pay much attention to what is said on the messageboards, as most posts on them are from dissatisfied customers. It is VERY rare that satisfied customers take the time to post letters on the messageboards, thus the information found on them are often not correct. We ship over 1,000 orders per month, and about 4% are seized. That means that we suffer about 40 losses per month. We have never claimed that we have a 100% delivery rate, and if people do not wish to risk the chance of a loss, then they should not use an online overseas service for their medication needs as in most cases the product ordered (strong painkillers mostly) are illegal to import to the USA.

I hope that I have help shine a light on the issue, and hope to see you order soon again as we do value your business!

Take this for what it's worth, I myself still have my doubt's about their service and would appreciate any feedback from someone that has ordered recently before I would ever place an order with them again!!!

3 out of 4 orders lost since dec 2003. 1 year of excellent service prior to that. Donna on support has always been responsive, yet no delivery = money better spent elsewhere (and i get plenty of orders delivered since dec 2003 from other places). if orders ever arrive, i'll clearly reconsider it.

"It is VERY rare that satisfied customers take the time to post letters on the messageboards, thus the information found on them are often not correct." - i suppose i was one of the rare ones.

I want to do my part in keeping this post at the top of the pile. Pharmatico should be BLACKLISTED. They are a complete waste of your time. Placed order on 10/12, STILL NO DELIVERY. To any who read this, spend your hard-earned money elsewhere! These folks used to be reliable, but they've gone down the tubes like so many others.

Caveat Emptor!

agreed, i lost 2 out of 3 orders in the 2003 dec - feb 2004 (the one succesful order was between the lost others, one of the unsuccessful ones was a compound order) i chalked it up to customs, since i paid for insured orders during a time when seziure was likely. but the love letters never arrived. Pharmatico was cordial, and claimed they tracked to orders leaving from france; but talk is cheap. sorry Donna, you betrayed my implicit confidence, even though explicitly they claim 'no fault' for lost orders. when you're holding the bag, you have to fill it with something even if it is angst.

they claim forums are for complainers, however, in some cases there REALLY IS reason for complaint. Plus they were not responsive in trying to isolate the source of lost shipments.

last year was totally different, but nothing is forever.
mayfair; by all means keep the thread active. And to all who could have claimed 'I told you so' i respectfully acknowledge your credibility.

well..... on with the show, there's always a new breed of respectable sources for our poor wretched selves...

So true, Mr. Nutty, so true. Personally, I think the simple fact that they rub this "we state NO guarantees" policy in your face is reason enough to lose our business. We all know that most companies try to limit their liability in these situations, but your honest, customer-centric companies don't raise their middle fingers to an unhappy customer, offering a "tough luck" response to lost merchandise. It's one thing to receive this kind of treatment from a guy selling you a Rolex on a street corner, it's a completely different story when a company tries to pass itself of as "trustworthy", "professional" and "caring about customer service". If you're unwilling to behave like an honest business, please don't present yourself as one. This group doesn't even honor their extra fee "insurance".

Their complete disdain for "complaints" and "criticism" also say a lot about the type of people that run this company. As a professional, I whole-heartedly believe that there is no such thing as "bad" criticism. In fact, I value constructive criticism because it helps me to improve. Apparently, Donna and the folks at Pharmatico do not share this belief.

Like you, I welcome the opportunity to give good reviews when I get good service. Honorable establishments need and deserve our positive comments and our business. Sadly, Pharmatico can no longer be considered an "honorable" establishment. I can only surmise that the company is under very, very poor new management, or they simply stopped caring about the people who keep them in business.
