Does anyone know where I might be able to order Trazodone? I requested it from an OP I found on an internet search. Even though it is widely prescribed to help with insomnia,they rejected my request,telling me that was not a valid reason to prescribe it!? That confused me. Any help would be appreciated
Trazadone is an anti-depressant, tho it is used by DR.'s for sleep because of it's sedative effects. Dr's can prescribe any legal drug for any reason that is reasonable, but ops may only want to prescribe medicine that it is marketed for. Trazadone is marketed for depression.

I get mine from my primary physician. That's one thing he has no problems giving me plenty of, lol- but it's because he believes if I just get plenty of uninterrupted sleep at night, my pain will be less severe. #sigh I don't think it's very expensive, either- if you go with the generic. Also, above poster is right- it's an anti-depressant which they say is non-addictive but has been proven to help treat insomnia. That's no doubt why the place you tried to get it wouldn't give it to you.

I agree, it is one of the cheapest drugs I've ever gotten through the normal route. It was something like $10 without insurance for 30 50mg generic tabs. (didn't work for me though)

Try Mellinium Medical Group. They have trazodone - I use it for sleeping medication and told them this when filling out questionaire. No consult nor med records are required - just fill out questionaire. It helps if you tell them you have used this before for this indication. You shouldn't have any hassle from them and it is shipped domestically via Fed Ex.
