I was making a few inquiries to Pharma24.cc because I have never used this company before and most reports on DB seem to be favorable. In a reply from them, I was told that before I can place my first order,I will need to send a photocopy of my C.C. and I.D. either by fax or mail. Before I do that, I need to get some feedback from you guys that have done this and what you think of this request. All I can figure out is maybe they want proof that you are the person who owns the C.C. and possibly your age also. Would appreciate any help....

Just do what they say and I promise you you will not be sorry. Seems like an odd request but they are one of the very best. Don't bother them too much since they don't really understand much english.

I e-mailed them scans of CC an DL. On the DL, I blurred a couple of pieces of info I wasn't happy sending and they had no problems with it.

Pharma24 is totally, 100% on the up and up. I used them dozens of times and would still be using them were it not for the fact that EU regulations forced them to stop carrying essentially all of the products that I was ordering from them. Not only did I do numerous credit card transactions, but I also express mailed them cash on more than one occasion, and I am not the only person to have done so. P24 is less popular nowadays because of its more limited selection, but if you are able to search and access older posts you will see for yourself that they are a truly excellent and honorable IOP with top quality products.

I have had several transactions with Pharma 24 over the past year. Ususally things arrive in 2-3 weeks. Now it has been over two months since my last order, with no response to my emails. I went through this with pharmatico. Has anybody had similar experiences with them?

Jeez,I ordered the 12th, shipped the 14th and arrived today. I have noticed noting different about them but the prices are much higher than they use to be. My feeling here is something must have happen (maybe customs). I do know they probably will not reship but you could ask. Good Luck.

Pharma24 has had the ID policy for quite a while now, since sometime in early 2003. I placed my first order with them in Feb. 2003 and used a CC. My next order was in April 2003 and for that order, they requested DL/CC copies. I decided to pay with cash instead. I have been ordering from them using cash ever since, and have had 100% of orders arrive reliably (of course, you have to assume the risk that it COULD get lost in the mail.)
So, I do consider them trustworthy, even though I personally preferred to just send cash. Alas, their prices have gradually increased (the changes in Euro/Dollar rate didn't help either) and with the June increase, I'm afraid they've priced me out. But note that they still have better prices than many other places.
Wurwur, sorry to hear your order hasn't turned up. Are you emailing them using their "info" address? I placed an order in June, and from the day I mailed the payment to arrival only took 2 weeks (although their prices have increased, I'll note that their delivery speed has too -- used to expect a month, now 2-3 weeks.)

They only want this photocopy from US customers. I once read that was because they had problems with US customers doing reverse charges much too early, causing them too loose money. I think there was a time when they did not accept CC payment from the US alltogether.
Though I wondern how a photocopy would help with a reverse charge... but then again, that's just what I heard. Only fact is, for european orders, no photocopies are required.

US Customers are notorious in the OP world for bring reverse scammers. Sometimes it's accidental, i.e. "Waaaah, my order didn't get here in 9 days, I'm reversing charges," and sometimes it's just plain mailcious. But ignorance of the. . .(facts) does not excuse.
That's why P24 made it very uncomfortable for new or relatively unknown US customers to start/continue using credit cards. It's probably the same reason that most IOPs weren't accepting CC's long before Visa/Mastercard accepted the anti-illegal activity clause.

Perhaps if these IOP's would be more upfront and realistic , when quoting a delivery time frame, they're wouldn't be so many chargebacks.
