Hello,
Has anyone been successful in obtaining some real barbiturates from Mexico? I'm going to Tijuana and I'm wondering if I can get a prescription from a doctor for Seconal or Nembutal (or Butabarbital which is C-III) and have it filled by a Mexican pharmacy there?
Has anyone tried this before ? I'd appreciate any recommendations for doctors and pharmacies for this.
Also, I understand that I can only bring back 50 pills. Would customs give me grief on declaring the barbiturates since they have such a bad name here in the U.S. ?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know TJ, but have been to Nogales a few times. Below is a link that has some reasonable info on buying meds in Mexico. It also has a link to a TJ pharmacy. Only meds I've seen there are xanax, valium and T3s.
Have fun, be safe.

There is a big sign when you come back into the USA from Mexico that says prescriptions for narcotics and dangerous drugs are not valid in the USA.

I used to always go to Mexico to pick up fioricet for a friend of mine. We would get it while going into Rocky Point. I would get a bottle of 100 for $30.00. They never had a problem selling it to me. I never saw a doctor, they just sold it at the mexican pharmacy. And it was an american bottle. Brand name. With the little faces on the front and the pill was blue. This was over 2 years ago. I'm sure the prices have gone up.

I don't know about the type of medicine you are talking about but I think you are allowed a 90 day supply for personal use. Having been to TJ, I would recomend going to a Mexican doctor and getting a script.

Fioricet has a barbiturate mixed with caffeine and acetaminophen and is not what I'm looking for. You can get it quite easily in the US, so there's no need to go to mexico for it anyway.

Ed/Postman: you are allowed to bring back 50 dosage pills of a controlled substance for personal use (even though the prescription from mexico is not valid in the US). I'm trying to find out if anyone has attempted bringing back barbiturates as they are so heavily controlled here in the US and might raise extra questions.
