Hi everyone! I have a questions re: Prepaid Credit Cards and would appreciate any info.
Does anyone know how long it takes before you can use it - once you've purchased it? For example, if I buy one, is the money available immediately to use, or do you have to wait 2 - 3 business days to use it?

You can use the prepaid card almost immediately. You will receive a receipt from where ever you buy the card. On the receipt there is a phone # to call to activate it. You will be able to use it online after activation but the actual card will not arrive until about 7-10 days after activation. You will have to call the # everytime you reload the card but after the initial activation all will be automated.

cvs pharmacy and some other stores offer the prepaid cards and have them there for immediate purchase and use so no waiting for the cards. one company is online and you can look up stores that sell them onsite according to state. yhe url is truth mastercard

I thought all the procedures were the same, my bust. I brought mine from CVS and had to go through the phone activation process. The site you listed is the site my card is through. The "TRUTH" Card. All I got from CVS on initial purchase was a receipt and when I reload the card at the local convenience store is a receipt with a # to call, so first time for activation and then reloads after that are automated. I used my card an hour after activation online but had to wait for the plastic to use out in the community.
