Has anyone noticed a sense of euphoria when taking imitrex ?

No, never euphoria for me but I do get some side effects which can be attributed to the rise in BP that imitrex causes (tingly feeling, hotflash). One explination for your euphoria is, it's my understanding, that imitrex in some way affects seratonin, indirectly.

Never euphoria. I feel sick on it. I get that yucky flushed feeling.

Same here; Imitrex gives me nausea and a very unplesant feeling! Axert seems to have less side effects. All I notice from that is drowsiness.

Knighthawk - I got that feeling of euphoria from the Imitrex injection - but not from the pill. However, it wasn't a really pleasant euphoria - it was kind of shaky and after a little while I would need to take a nap. Another migraine med that does that to me is Midrin (not motrin). If I take just one - I'm fine - if I take 2 I get a weird 'buzzy' feeling and also feel very warm and flushed. However, both meds work if I catch the migraine at the very start of it. I'd rather feel the effects I described than get the headache!
