Sly, I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but what exactly do you "not agree with"?

Christel, I too found your post to be very humerous...it definitely helped to lighten the mood! No offense, but anyone who was angered by it probably just needs to lighten up a little...hope you are all having a great weekend!

Mello,

let me apologize for anything negative toward you, It was late last night and i couldn't sleep as usual, and i picked up this celebrity magazine my wife reads, and they had the case about a certain someone with sticky fingers, that got caught with alot of drugs that most of us need but can't get. I was just aggrivated. I find this site to be very useful, as i have no choice but to take pain killers the rest of my life, as my spine is 75% metal now, and i can't even tie my shoes, and for someone in my place it's good to be able to order a good (personal)supply and not have to pay a visit to a dr. that doesn't care how bad i feel, as long as he gets PAID. So I enjoy this site as it provides me, someone new at this, actual, and personal information on places to get meds.

Again, i apologize, it just pisses me off that people that can walk around with a couple hundred grand in their pockets as chump change is none the less ruining it for the ones who truly need meds. At this rate, in another 5 years, hell you either will have to have a DR. as a title, or know how to cook up some goodies for yourself, because the laws will be so bad that we will be lucky to get tylenol.

anyway, please no hard feelings

I think your post is hilarious!

I caught on right away, but then...I am a sarcastic person by nature. And YES, I can't stop logging onto this site. Ebay is no longer a probem....how could it be - I've met others who share my interest in drugs! And I don't care what their reasons for using drugs are....I just find pharmaceuticals fascinating - for whatever reason.

Each person has their own individual pain to deal with and to try their best to live with - be it physical or mental. I really feel for those who have no resources and who must plod through life day after day wondering if they'll even make it through another day, since I have been down that road many, many times. My pain is not physical, but mental. I truly feel for those who have physical pain and I cannot even imagine having to deal with BOTH.

I thank God for sites like DB...And, I thank God for humor like yours, Christel!

Its called obsessive complusive. You are obsessed with DB, so your compulsion is to check the boards. Mentally speaking its not really a problem unless you are locking yourself in a room, not talking with friends, not paying bills, not showering, etc. We are all a little OCD, its when it interfers with living LIFE, that it is a problem.

PS- Im a little obsessed with DB also, but it sure beats watching soaps.

I was the same way when I first joined, and now I just don't have the time, but I do make it in at LEAST every other day. I just can't stay on as long.

I am a total addict to DB. I knew I'd reached a new level of sickness when I was just going to the "recent posts" search & reading stuff with titles I didn't even care much about! The people who post here arem for the most part, some of the smartest epople I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with! Yay, DB!

Just a tip about the insurance & the pre-existing problem....if you become employed with an employer who employs over 50 (some states) to 100 (0ther states) employees, they cannot impose a pre-existing clause...and even on employers whose insurance carries a pre-existing clause, it has a time limit attached...i.e. 6 months to a year...then you are covered for all illnesses...just fyi

I totally agree with your observations on DB. Though I've been a member for less than a month, I can't help but check the board at least a few times every day. My lucky day was the day I stumbled onto it. Who knew there were so many people out there like me?! I feel like I've been accepted by a community who completely understands what my life is like, because people who haven't dealt with chronic pain have no idea what it's like to be us, not only day by day, but sometimes agonizing minute by minute. Thanks for saying what I was thinking.

Well....I certainly am sorry for your situation. However, I don't think that most of the people who are a part of DB are addicts, just people who have pain and can't find a doctor to give them the relief they need.

Good luck with your situation and Happy Holidays.

LOL, I personally find this the funniest post on this page considering Legit is probley the Biggest DB addict here! No im just kiddin with you Legit, you are one of the most resourcefull people here at DB, and im glad people like you are here to help us all. Keep posting.....heath

I just ran across this post and laughed away reading all the replies! I immediately knew what was implied as I have a tweaked sense of humor and I, also, have to look on the board at least once a day. It was a breath of fresh air and much needed to take some tension away from people waiting for meds due to backups over the holidays, etc. Thanks for the warning...but it is too late!

Christel, I just found your post and LOL, knew you were joking. However, your post did have some truth to it. Since joing the board I too have become an ADDICT taking the board q2-3hrs as needed. I found I need it alot. LOL.This is a very active board, great people and diversity of opinions which is why I frequent it so much every day. I do find time to fit my life in since finding this board. Its been a struggle but its starting to work out. LOL Great post and interesting replies. turcica

Hi Christel. I'm flysw, a newbie on this site, but have been to others. Don't beat yourself up. If you are addicted, then you'll deal with it. If you suffer from PAIN, & maybe your doc won't RX anything, what should you do. I am in so much pain, yet UNDER-MEDICATED! And, like any other meds., there's a difference between addiction & DEPENDENCE, which most of us are. Susie

Christel, it's flysw. Didn't read down far enough. Was in plane crash, & among multiple injuries, a closed head trauma was one. That means that I have great trouble with comprehension, etc. My mom says that I have too much pain, not enough brain. She's right!! I think it's a hoot, too. Cause, I am hooked on DB, at least for now. Take care, Susie
