I just wanted to say that I hope things start to look up for you. I too have been through a painful divorce and things do get better--it takes a while, though. Mine was also at Christmas, so I know this is a bleak time for you. Hang in there...try to find a singles group--church, interest group, volunteer work, Big Brothers, something to get you out and about.

I don't know you, Justen, but you will be in my prayers today. I know the Holidays mess with my head beacuse I am often lonely (never married..no close family, etc.) I have found a lot of good folks here at DB that really take the edge off my isolation. Take care, buddy, good people care about you! Catmom

I'm sorry to read your post, and though this might not make you feel better, you are probably better off without this person.
Pain is devastating to the person experiencing it and the life changes spread out to all that care or live with the CPer.
I wish you the best, and I am sure in time you will meet a less shallow mate.
Best to you!

So sorry to hear about your troubles justenpain25. It makes it harder because of the time of year I'm sure. Hang in there you are young and will meet someone else. If that person left you now in your time of need, you're better off without them. Just remember, as long as you are a member of this board you are not completely alone. There are people here to reach out to. I have found my current situation has improved because of . " This too in time will pass". turcica

I am sorry you are having a bad time. While forums like this can really help out I know it is nice to have someone physically there to talk to. If you have Fibromyalgia I am assuming you see a rheumatologist. Ask him/her to refer you to a support group. If there is not one for fibro in your area there may be one for Lupus. In a town near me there is a support group that welcomes both. Since they do have some symptoms in common, and are both treated by the same specialist, you may have luck trying this. Not only will this help you during this difficult time, this could prove invaluable in future relationships. People who have lived with chronic pain and have successful marriages/partnerships can be great mentors. Who knows, you could even someday be with someone who understands first hand how you feel. Not that I recommend using a support group as a dating pool, but if you did find someone that would be great.

I hope you start feeling better, and you will be much happier in the long run without a wife whose parents are the ones who can't handle YOUR pain.

Although I was diagnosed as having SLE (lupus) around 7 years ago, I was treated for Fibro for the 3 years before that. I have all the problems associated with fibro, it is just considered part of my SLE. If you need any advice, help, or just an opinion pm me at any time.
