I am sorry you are having a bad time. While forums like this can really help out I know it is nice to have someone physically there to talk to. If you have Fibromyalgia I am assuming you see a rheumatologist. Ask him/her to refer you to a support group. If there is not one for fibro in your area there may be one for Lupus. In a town near me there is a support group that welcomes both. Since they do have some symptoms in common, and are both treated by the same specialist, you may have luck trying this. Not only will this help you during this difficult time, this could prove invaluable in future relationships. People who have lived with chronic pain and have successful marriages/partnerships can be great mentors. Who knows, you could even someday be with someone who understands first hand how you feel. Not that I recommend using a support group as a dating pool, but if you did find someone that would be great.
I hope you start feeling better, and you will be much happier in the long run without a wife whose parents are the ones who can't handle YOUR pain.
Although I was diagnosed as having SLE (lupus) around 7 years ago, I was treated for Fibro for the 3 years before that. I have all the problems associated with fibro, it is just considered part of my SLE. If you need any advice, help, or just an opinion pm me at any time.
