I went to Oprahs site to check it out and I was going to email her with my side of the 11/20 story, I see that she has a chat board and I see this as a way for us to be able to get our side across as a group. There is a way to start a new discussion/topic and get our points across. Sorry DB, I am not trying to endorse this site (Oprahs) i think she shouls get the other side of this womans story BEFORE it airs, and lets see if she brings up any of "the other side of pain" when she airs the show! Anglwink

Count me in...I been reading this Coachgal's story of addiction since she began posting on the Healthboards Addiction Board and I know her addiction never was the result of Chronic Pain but from liking the High...

I completely agree. There is ALWAYS 2 sides to every story and ours needs to be heard, not just hers. I read earlier that there are 18,000 people registered on DB. If everyone got in and started a chat that would DEFINATELY grab their attention. I know the reality is that all 18,000 members won't jump on that, but even a decent fraction of those would be good and attention getting. JMHO..........

Call me clueless - but could someone please help me figure out the Oprah site? I knew that this woman was going to be on Oprah (and what her take on ops were) from reading her posts on anohter forum. I have been to the Oprah site a half dozen times and can not seem to figure out how to "preview" the Nov. 20th show. All I get is "this weeks" show. When I do a search - I come up empty. If someone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I want to read it - then I have every intention of posting on her little forum.

It won't let me send a direct link, you have to be logged into Oprah.com...Go to Oprah website, click second topic on left entitled "Oprah Winfrey Show"..Halfway down this page you'll see "Be On The Show"...Click the link there that says "See what our producers are working on"..It will take you to various topics, two of them are about prepscription drug addiction...

Count me in -- I'll go chat on Oprah. Both sides of the stroy do need to be told. Isn't that what good journalism is???????
