One thing's for sure; people in every city and state are getting lots of emails to buy valium, xanax and hydro and it is being mentioned in most articles. Do these idiots really think that spamming the world about how easy it is to have meds shipped discreetly to your door is smart?
Say waht you will but these emails will play a huge role in OP's getting shut down.

I've been thinking the same thing. If only there was a way to strangle that idiot. But you cant even opt off the list never mind finding the source.

Oh I would go even one step further, I would say these spams are the PRIMARY reason for the recent focus. Not Rush, not anything else, DEFINETELY the spam!!!!
Wanna know something even more irritating ?? 99.9% of the new hydrocodone spam is sent by "AFFILIATES" of the sites such as tropical/buymeds/erx etc. So to get straight to the gist, people trying to make a buck by selling you links to tropicalrx are the people that are pulling the industry down for the most part. Cool eh ?

i agree.
every news channel has stories about "prescription drugs-- how easy are they to get? the answer may surprise you- story at 11"
that sucks.

I think one of the problems is not only that we are getting spammed like crazy (I get 1-4 emails a week like this and I have never ordered online and haven't registered anywhere except DB where these people would get my email address...DB are you selling/giving user info to sponsors, etc???) but that the emails are mentioning drugs like morphine, rohypnol (sp?) and other drugs that are tightly controlled or banned in the USA.
I've had lay-people say, "do you know you can buy Oxycontin online?" I have responded, "I challenge you to order some unprescribed Oxycontin online and actually receive it or not get arrested for it!" To date, nobody's coughed up!
A ton of misinformation is being handed out. When, in reality, people can buy the stuff from the street more easily than online! And you are probably less likely to get ripped off!!!
Go figure!

Tred is correct - my husband gets these emails and I can guarantee you he has NEVER been to DB or any OP website.

One way to guarantee a healthy influx of spam is to correspond with Usenet newsgroups. While Usenet newsgroups are completely legit, they're also a spammers dream come true when it comes to scamming e-mail addresses from posts. I belong to about 6 such groups and I get a *ton* of spam. If you do belong to any ng's, make sure that you use the handy little option that inserts extra characters into your e-mail address that renders it unusable without having to manually go in and change it. I did this way too late in my newsgroup career and still pay for it! And even then you're not safe. A friend of mine told me that enterprising e-geeks spend days "harvesting" clean e-mail adresses and cleaning up the ones that have the anti-spam safeguards. I do receive lots of RX spam every week, but most of the spam I get is porn realted stuff. FWIW, I've been checking out the RX spam as of late. Just about every one I get these days connects to the "90 Day Refill" crowd. It used to only be meds like fioracet and phentermine, never hydro, but that's all changed in recent weeks.

Well, in MY opinion, and I also get all the spam emails. Actually thats how I found out about it. But if you are ligit, have you Med history/records, I think the Dr's are safe. There are those I agree that abuse. I just keep my mouth shut. My health is no ones business but my family and my Dr. We all know major pain is nothing to mess around with, and when you have what I have that is not going to get any better but worse, it is beeter to just get the meds and QUIT buying the local Dr's their BMW's, vettes, hummers, etc. just for going in, waiting, then them not even see you and get a script. OPS has been the best idea American Dr's have come up with. Sure, they get theor share, but they have to make a living too. Thing is, they keep US making a living also.
Sorry, just my 2 cents worth.
